Mandagery Creek Venison is proud to offer a range of value-added products. Our antlers, deer hides and lamps can be purchased directly through us or from selected farmers markets. We also welcome wholesale enquiries. Please email Tim on tim@mandagerycreek.com.au or call (02) 6365 6171.

Hides

Our hides are produced using traditional tanning methods, we carry a range of hides including fallow and red deer. We can also provide drum skins and leather products.

Antler

One of the most exaggerated forms of male secondary sexual traits in the animal kingdom, deer antler grows faster than any other mammalian tissue. Once the antler has achieved its full size in about 3 months, the outer velvet coating is shed, blood and nerve supply retracts and the antler becomes dead bone firmly attached to the skull. This is the mature antler and function as a weapon in combat between males,  and for dominance and sexual displays. At the end of the breeding season the antlers are shed and the whole process of antler growth begins again.

We sell the antlers that fall annually from our stags and also offer antler candle holders as crafted by Tim's father Andrew.
